We offer 7 grape varieties with the largest fruits that can be successfully grown in most of the country.
The varieties offered are typically dessert grapes. They have very sweet, large, juicy fruits. They are among the most attractive dessert varieties grown in Poland. We offer seven grape varieties with the largest fruits that can be successfully grown in most of the country. Only in the coldest parts of Poland, such as Suwałki Region or Podhale, is it recommended to cover these vines every winter. These varieties can be grown throughout the country, they do not require any special care or protection for winter or spraying.
Below is a description of the grape varieties included in the set:
BAIKONUR – a fantastic dark variety with very attractive fruit from Russia. The clusters are long, loose, conical, and cylindrical with lateral wings, averaging approximately 1 kg. It has very attractive, dark purple, elongated berries that often turn almost black and have a curved, bean-like shape. The flesh is firm, crunchy, and has a pleasant, balanced flavor. Frost resistance is -23°C.
BOŻYJ DAR – a multi-fruit variety originating from Russia, very attractive due to its relatively high frost resistance of -25°C. It is a variety with a very early ripening time and huge fruits, where the clusters can reach a weight of up to 3 kg. Conical clusters of medium density, very large. Oval berries in a light amber color. The flesh is crunchy, dense, juicy with a delicate, harmonious taste. A very fruitful variety, the growth of the bush is very strong.
DOŁGOŻDANYJ – a sensational grape variety grown in Poland for several years. A dessert variety originating in Russia is characterized by very large and sweet fruits and at the same time relatively high frost resistance. Its advantages include: Very large and tasty fruit, with almost imperceptible seeds, very early ripening time and good resistance. Frost resistance: -23 °C
JUBILEY NOWOCZERKASSKIJ – a very valuable dessert variety with large, elongated fruit gathered in very large clusters. The fruit ripens in the first half of September, initially yellow with a pink blush, eventually changing to pink. The fruit is exceptionally tasty, appreciated by many connoisseurs. It is not susceptible to fungal diseases. Frost resistance -23C
JULIAN – a pink, multi-fruit variety from Russia, very attractive, with high frost resistance to -24°C. This is an ultra-early variety, ripening in August. The clusters are conical, medium-compact, and weigh between 700 and 800 g. The flesh is crisp, firm, and juicy, with a delicate, balanced flavor. This variety is very productive, with vigorous growth.
ARKADIA is a grape with very large, slightly oval, light yellow fruit, where clusters can reach over 1.5 kg. Its greatest advantage is its sensational taste. The berries have a very sweet, fresh, juicy aftertaste. Considered by most experts to be the tastiest grape grown in Poland. The yield of the bushes is very high – thinning of the buds is recommended. The clusters are large and very large, medium-compact. Large berries with an original, egg-shaped shape, light yellow in color, very tasty. Clusters: large, conical, medium-compact, less often loose. Berries: large, oval, golden when fully ripe with a light brown blush. Flesh: crunchy, colorless. Ripening: early, turn of August and September. To achieve such attractive fruit, it is very good to plant this vine in a well-sunlit place. Then the ripe fruit will be able to gain the fullness of its value.
KISZMISZ VELLES – a sensational seedless variety from Ukraine with extremely tasty pink fruit. The bunches can reach up to 3 kg!. Nutmeg flavor, juicy. Ripens very early, already at the end of August. Cultivated in Poland for only a few years, but so far it has performed very well, is reliable and fruitful. The largest of the seedless varieties with a red color grown in our vineyard. Frost resistance up to -21C
